The wine typically exhibits aromas of rose, violet, and red fruits like raspberry and cherry, with earthy and spicy notes on the palate. Fantastic with red meat dishes, aged cheeses, and dishes with structural refinement like rack of lamb with fine herbs, risotto with Castelmagno and hazelnuts, or tagliolini with black truffle. While enjoyable young, it has the structure and complexity to age gracefully in the bottle.
